THE TECH RECOMMENDATIONS:

HOW TO RESTORE A WOOD INSTRUMENT

1.   Wipe instrument with damp towel to remove dirt and grime and then wipe dry with clean towel. 

2.   Begin by removing the strings.

3.   Inspect instrument for missing parts and damage (the Baglama is missing the bridge).  I will have to buy or custom make one.

4.   Make necessary repairs and locate or make missing parts.

5.   Cleaning and treating  the wood with Howard's Wax-N-Feed and remove any excess with a clean rag.

6.   Metal parts will be cleaned by various methods, steel wool, polish, buffing wheel.

7.  Then reassemble, install new strings and tune instrument.  Play and enjoy.
